About the Event
The PolyU International Future Challenge (IFC) 2026 is a premier global competition designed to identify and accelerate the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. Now in its latest edition, the Challenge brings together bright minds from around the world to pitch transformative ideas, gain invaluable market access, and compete for substantial funding and academic sponsorships.
Open to individuals and teams aged 18 and above—regardless of whether you are affiliated with PolyU—this is your gateway to turning vision into venture.
What's at Stake?
- Total Prize Pool: Over HK$2 million
- Regional Finals (8 regions): Top prize of RMB 100,000 / HK$ 120,000 per region
- Grand Final Champion: HK$ 500,000
Beyond the Prize: Program Benefits
Selected participants will gain far more than financial rewards:
- Market Entry Support: A strategic cross-border gateway to the Chinese Mainland through PolyU's Mainland Technology Research Institutes (MTRIs).
- Academic Sponsorship: Tuition sponsorship for PolyU's prestigious Master of Technology Entrepreneurship (MTE) programme.
- Skills Development: Complimentary access to the "KT&E Skills Acceleration Hub" training modules.
- Fully-Supported Finals: The final 15 teams will have their transportation (departing from Hong Kong) and local accommodation covered by PolyU.
Eligibility & Participation
- Open to: Innovators and entrepreneurs aged 18 or above from any country.
- Team Composition: Both PolyU and non-PolyU teams are equally welcome.
