DSTO x Tunatics: A Capella Together

Hasn’t Zoom felt one-note, boring lately? Let’s sing a different tune!  

Here’s a chance for you to try making music together with the HKUST community! 

In collaboration with HKUST a capella group Tunatics, you will be covering the song Try Everything, originally performed by Shakira in the Disney film Zootopia (2016)! No musical experience is required for you to participate because we have parts for everyone. Come along if you want to try something new! 

This event is open to all students at HKUST. We will be compiling our audio and video recordings from this event into a music video to be released on HKUST social media channels.

Tunatics A Cappella was established in 2015 in HKUST, whose name combines “Tune” and “Lunatic” and stands for our passion for music. 

Tunatics has participated in the Mainland Hong Kong and Macau College A Cappella Competition in 2020 and 2021, and won the championships twice. In 2018, we also won the gold medal in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area A Cappella Competition. Meanwhile, in 2017, we are honored to be invited by China National Radio to record “Voice of Hong Kong” radio program. 

Since established, we have successfully held three concerts, ⟨ Origin• 源 ⟩ in 2017, ⟨ Butterfly ⟩. In 2019, online concert ⟨ Breathe ⟩ in 2021, reaching over 500 audience.
