Fintech Research Project of HKUST Business School is holding an online sharing session for HKUST students. The talk will discuss the core competencies needed for fintech professionals and what qualities fintech companies are looking for in candidates when hiring. The session is open to students from all disciplines and at all levels. Students who are interested in fintech are most welcome to join.

About the Speaker

Ms. Christy Yeung
Senior Manager, Fintech Research Project, HKUST Business School

 

Christy is currently Senior Manager of Fintech Research Project at HKUST Business School, managing the theme-based research project on Fintech awarded by RGC. Christy has both consulting and in-house experience in managing and delivering complex and major educational and technical projects, and specializes in strategic management and implementation. Prior to joining the HKUST Business School, Christy was a project management consultant, helping individuals and companies from different industries on creative and technical projects and collaborations including developing and introducing new products, establishing communications and public relations plans for startups and SMEs. Christy grew up in Burnaby in British Columbia, Canada, where she completed her education in Economics and Commerce at the University of British Columbia. In 2016, Christy started AttoExa Limited, an IT consulting company to help university students with keen interests in technology to develop new IT products and market to SMEs. Christy’s experience includes research and survey design, and data analysis as a former researcher for City University of Hong Kong, technical writing and report and policy paper writing for technology companies in Hong Kong and Canada.
